Delighting families from coast to coast, the Walmart Holiday Drone Light Show creatively reimagined how we experience the cherished tradition of holiday lights. Traveling to seven cities across the United States, the spectacular performance sold out across the country and was livestreamed to millions at home via Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.

Produced in collaboration with Walmart, this free, contactless entertainment experience was our first-ever drone light show tour. It was also an incredible opportunity to showcase almost 1,000 of our next-generation drones with their dazzling 3D animations, faster flying speeds, and brighter colors.

On a mission to lift spirits across the country, we partnered with Walmart to bring the joy and wonder of the holiday season to skies. Working in close collaboration to design and
stage the performances, the result was nothing short of magical.

Painting the sky with holiday cheer, the spectacular celebration brought the holidays to life with dynamic seasonal animations such as fluttering snowflakes, colorfully wrapped presents, and reindeer that pranced across the night sky. All of which were perfectly choreographed to a soundtrack of classic and modern holiday favorites, from Bing Crosby’s “Frosty the Snowman” to “Run Run Rudolph” by Kelly Clarkson.

Families watched the performances from their cars or designated viewing areas next to their cars, giving them a safe, socially distanced night out, complete with pre-show entertainment. At the same time, millions tuned in at home to watch a live broadcast of the show on Walmart’s social media channels.

After a particularly tough year, we want to help families end the year looking up. We want customers to enjoy a moment of rest, peace, and hope.
