Pepsi Zero Sugar Super Bowl LI Halftime Show

Intel collaborated with the NFL, Pepsi, and GRAMMY®-winning music icon Lady Gaga to create an unforgettable experience for the Pepsi Zero Sugar Super Bowl LI Halftime Show. Marking the first-ever drone light show at a large sporting event, 300 Intel drones lit up the sky above Houston’s NRG Stadium in a choreographed performance that wowed the world.

Drones 300 Classic

As Lady Gaga’s performance began, the drones created a backdrop of colorful formations including, twinkling stars that transformed into red and blue moving stars, before creating the American Flag for a dramatic finale that brought Lady Gaga to center stage. Additionally, the drones finished out the halftime performance by forming the Pepsi logo in the sky.

It was the fifth year of Pepsi sponsoring the halftime event seen by millions worldwide. In this 51st Super Bowl, the New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons vied for the national title. In the first-ever Super Bowl that went into overtime, the Patriots defeated the Falcons in a final score of 34-28.

Lady Gaga and the Super Bowl creative team wanted to pull off something that had never been done before and we were able to combine Intel drone innovation with her artistry to pull off a truly unique experience.
